Letter to myself for 2021
2020 was one hell of a year. I think the biggest lesson we all learned is that life can literally change at any given moment and nothing is set in stone.
Madai, you thought 2020 was going to be so different. You finished your TEFL certificate and traveled the first two months, then quarantine started and you hardly ever left your apartment. I think your anxiety and fears become worse as the months went by. You started to have really bad anxiety attacks again and even had suicidal thoughts again. You learned your health was worse than you thought ( talking about PCOS in particular) and then you lost your stepdad. You saw your mom cry and you couldn't give her a hug to comfort her. This year I hope your heart is filled with more love and laughter than ever before.
I hope you grow in your career.
I hope you laugh at least once a day, and remember to look at the sky more often.
Enjoy your neighbors, you never know when will be the last time you see them.
Take care of your health, but don't beat yourself up if you eat one too many slices of pizza.
Hug Rico. He is the best thing that has happened to you.
Remember it's okay to cry.
It's okay to fail.
It's okay to not be "perfect".
Focus on your friends that are truly there for you, and let them know you love them. Life is too precious not to.
Call your family often <3
It's okay to have bad days want to be alone sometimes.
Girl, love yourself, and strive to be the best version of you you can.
Life will throw some wild ass curveballs at you, and if all you do is survive, that's okay too.
Happy 2021! Make it one hell of a year however you can <3
