Quarantine Times
The days we live in are very interesting. Some days were are on our high horse cleaning, cooking, and being active, while other days we don't even want to get out of our pj's and bed. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, it has been a real rollercoaster thus far.
Some days I feel really down, sad, and frustrated with myself because I see others posting on social media how they have this down and working out and being super proactive. While I'm just sitting on my living room floor eating a whole watermelon with a spoon. Most days I am doing nothing but scrolling through social media, eating, and sleeping. I see family and friends cooking, baking, learning new skills and I'm just blah.
But then...
There are other days, a few ones, but other days where I am cooking and washing all my dishes as I go. Learning new recipes, and baking banana bread. Working on my videos and on this blog. Planning my few classes and being the awesome teacher I am.
But then...
I go back to not wanting to be active and just watch movies all day... and you know what? That is okay. This isn't a time for all of us to get in shape or learn that new skill we've been putting off. For many of us, this is the time to be okay with ourselves and learn how to cope with things on our own. It's okay to not want to get out of bed, and to have a pile of dishes. It's okay to order UberEats and watch movies while you enjoy the food.
Whatever it is you are doing, know I am there with you. Cheering you one from my living room floor with watermelon juice running down my face.
